coal tit surprise

we watch the tits, oh everyday,

the way they skip and glide and play,

they nip in and out,

and up and down

flying around without a frown.

eating seeds and bugs and stuff,

oh watching them is just enough.

and then, surprise, joy, delight,

what do we behold, it is a sight,

a gold crest, small and brown and cute,

in the fir tree, he is a hoot,

never seen before, a joy a delight.

so pleased the coaltits bought him into our sight.

Local woman Vivian Allman Neal appeared on the hit BBC TV show The Weakest Link  hosted by journalist and TV presenter Anne Robinson. Viv held her own until she was unluckily voted off in the 6th round where she was most definitely NOT the weakest link.
